Fulton started Monday off with an eased acceleration of business and activity.  Plenty of supply as boats were forced in by the winds this weekend.  Although the fish is plentiful now, the beginning of the month usually sparks demand that might leave supply a bit light as the week progresses.  Some of the ground fish prices have risen but we are starting the week off with some great opportunities forSnapper, Stripers, Sword, and Wild Salmon.   Atlantic Green Tail Snappers, the sweetest of all the snappers are a terrific value, both whole and filleted.  Nice to offer something different.  Wild Stripers are still abundant, and are not hours out of the water.  We received a trip of sword fish.  Large fatty markers with cherry red blood lines.  You can see the fat like butter on a knife when these fish are cut.   We are receiving some wild coho salmon tonight as well.  These fish are 6-9 lbs each head off.  We also received some giant Scottish Salmon as well.  These fish are 18-20lb fish and are just majestic in their presentation……Call us with any questions.

Outstanding Red Snapper, Tuna and Sword Prices Drop

November 18, 2009 · Filed Under Market Report · Comment

Thursday’s market will have a nice variety of  day boat product.  We received a shipment of the highest quality red snapper from Florida.  We are the exclusive distributors of William’s reds.    2-4 lb reds are moderately priced, and should be available through the weekend.  We have received a shipment of Local Sword and Tuna’s.   Tuna’s are mostly high grade yellow fins priced below market to generate some sales.  The swords are nice A markers with tight red blood lines.  Wild Stripers are available, but  light supply is keeping the price up.  We are fabricating our own Salmon Fillet from Scottish Salmon.  You cannot find a better quality salmon than ours…..We also handle a Scottish “Organic” Salmon as well.  If you are looking for a cheap fillet to use in a similar application as Cod Fish, do not hesitate to take a look at our Pollock fillet.  We hand cut it ourselves here the same morning we ship your order.   Flats continue to be a bit high due to light supply, but the fluke are all trap fish stiff as boards.  Halibut is east coast.  A bit pricey, but outstanding quality.   Mahi Mahi is also a value this week.  We are in the midst of a great catch, so supply is available, and pricing is right….Nantucket bay scallop supply is very light.   Available but expensive.   Please call our order line at 718-620-8600 if you would like to leave an order or have any questions

Salmon and Flats on the rise

Flats and Salmon prices have risen in past days.  New jersey closure of fluke has forced prices up.  Supply is light but all day boat quality.   Salmon contracts seem to be in full swing.  Producers are filleting for orders tightening supply of whole fish in the market place

Although the week started off with light supply in the market, we have a great variety of product for tonight’s market.  Day Boat Cod from Chatham, Snapper from Florida, Local Sword and Tuna packed in New Jersey.  We anticipate that Salmon prices will rise over the next few days, so don’t wait until the end of the week.  Great variety of cold water oysters are in prime season, and Florida Stones are now available as well.  Flats are also increasing in price from last week, but are pound net quality.   This is our first posting, so stay tuned as we will be editing before the day is out……..
