Day Boat Halibut, Wild Striped Bass

March Madness cannot keep up with the bounties of Day Boat Halibut and Wild Striped Bass competing for your attention.  We have not seen such drastic  price reductions on the Halibut and Striped Bass in quite some time.  Although Jumbo Black Bass is still reasonable, prices are climbing off of last week’s lows.  Atlantic Snapper is under conservation closure again, tightening Snappersupply and pushing prices up a bit, but availability for the first part of the week is good.   In fact the spring run has produced a great volume and selection of different fish up and down the coast.  Fluke, Spanish Mackeral, Mahi Mahi, Shark, and Cod are all available in volume.  Head fish such as Porgies, Squid, Whiting, Croakers and even Perch fill the stand as if to let everyone know that spring is here.  Sword Fish has seemed to have tightened but great values are available in Tunaproduced both domestically and imported There is no better time to visit our market. .  Our stand is like a canvas painted in colors and textures only the ocean could create.  Please join us.  Call with any questions or if you would like a price list  718-620-8600

Jumbo Black Sea Bass, Local John Dory, Wild Sturgeon

Yes,spring is right around the corner.  At least this is what THEY say.  Who really is THEY?  Although I do not really have the answer to this question at this time, THEY are very excited by our offerings this first week of March.   Jumbo Black Sea Bass, Local John Dory, and Wild Caught Sturgeonare just a few opportunities we are highlighting the first part of this week.   Black Sea Bass has not been this reasonably priced in quite some time.  Even Though the Snapper market has regulated, and Wild Striped Bass is also available, THEY would probably jump on the Black Sea Bass because they are off the hook.  Local Fluke remains a value, but the Local John Dory is something different.  The Wild Sturgeon are from Washington State, ranging in size from 12 – 20 lbs each.  We receive them head off, tail off and gutted for a great yield.     Tuna and Sword prices are stable for now, but we are on the new moon so fish may be a bit tight until next week.  Call us with any questions or for a price list  718-620-8600
